The 2012 New Year is bringing the church closer to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord has spoken to the church to turn up the F.I.R.E. In I Chronicles 21:26, David is offering the sacrifice before God in the threshing floor at Ornan. WHY?
The F.I.R.E. represents being Focused on what’s really important, Increasing the intensity in all things, Restoration of Reverence of God and Evangelism of every soul possible.
F. Being focused on what is important: In the past few years, distractions have risen to move us from the most important job of the church, which is saving of souls for the Kingdom of God. If we can restore this singleness of vision from the church, the Lord will bless us and move us into dimensions of greater works for Him.
I. Increasing the intensity: It’s time to upgrade and kick all things to the next higher level in God. The level has more challenges, but greater victories. It has greater trials, but new and improved skills and accomplishments to be obtained. Above all, it is intended for greater worship, more sincere praise and a dedicated life unto the Lord. The best thing is an anointing from the Lord to do the impossible! Kick it up!
R. Restoring the reverence of God in our lives and in the house of God: Somewhere we have lost the sanctity and the respect for the Lord in the house of God. It is time to restore respect for God in the men and women of God and in the newcomer and believer. What it means is to honor the Lord and his holiness. The hope of restoration is to bring back the fear of the Lord and the specialness of the place where God dwells among his people. This will revive the hope and trust in the Lord God.
E. Evangelize every soul possible: It is OUR job to spread the message of Jesus Christ. Get past rejection and failure and the "I cannot do it spirit" and in to the realm of divine purpose. Open our mouths and be a witness for Christ. When we speak the Gospel, souls are converted for Christ, the heartbeat of the church will be revived to the place God has originally intended for it. Let us move into the unknown and unfamiliar to bring the love of Christ to every soul possible.
By turning up the F.I.R.E. in your life, you as an active member of the Church will increase the purpose. A liveliness of the church and move to a place of sacrifice where God will answer by fire from heaven and let us know He is well pleased.
